Happy birthday,
'Aged Two', Is there room for me too,
As you race off on each new adventure?
Carousels in the square, flashing lights at the fair,
Oh to be there, to remember.
Happy birthday, 'Aged Two' ...
That first journey by train, a new world down each lane.
O to be there - let me enter.
Dusty albums have faces, the image of you,
So that impish expression is not quite new!
There's a great aunt at sixteen, with love in the air.
And a jaunty deportment that you now share. |
Happy birthday, 'Aged Two' .....
What a beam of delight, as a starburst of light,
Brightens the night in November.
Happy birthday, 'Aged Two' ...
In that fairytale world, your first rainbow's unfurled,
Head in a swirl, let me enter.
There's a mother and daughter, how hats lend one style!
But behind all those feathers it's still your smile.
Generations keep rolling, the pictures may age;
But it's your eyes that sparkle through ev'ry page. |
Happy birthday, 'Aged Two' ...
That first walk through the snow, with our sledges in tow,
Faces aglow, in December.
Happy birthday, 'Aged Two' ...
Let the magic begin, let the carousel spin.
O count me in, let me enter. O count me in, let me enter. |
